"The SP 800-103 is available for a six week public comment period. This document provides the broadest possible range of identity credentials and supporting documents insofar as they pertain to identity credential issuance. Priority is given to examples of primary and secondary identity credentials issued within the United States. Part 2 of this document will provide an Extensible Markup Language (XML) schemas, as a framework for retention and exchange of identity credential information. Summit on Educational Games: Harnessing the power of video games for learning, Federation of American Scientists, October 17, 2006.
"To explore how the United States can harness the powerful features of digital games for learning, the Federation of American Scientists, the Entertainment Software Association, and the National Science Foundation convened a National Summit on Educational Games, on October 25, 2005 in Washington, DC. The Summit brought together nearly 100 experts to discuss ways to accelerate the development, commercialization, and deployment of new generation games for learning....There was strong consensus among the Summit participants that there are many features of digital games, including game design approaches and digital game technologies, which can be applied to address the increasing demand for high quality education."

Description from the Pew Internet & American Life Project web site: "Eighty percent of American internet users, or some 113 million adults, have searched for information on at least one of seventeen health topics. Most internet users start at a general search engine when researching health and medical advice online. Just 15% of health seekers say they "always" check the source and date of the health information they find online, while another 10% say they do so "most of the time." Fully three-quarters of health seekers say they check the source and date "only sometimes," "hardly ever," or "never," which translates to about 85 million Americans gathering health advice online without consistently examining the quality indicators of the information they find. Most health seekers are pleased about what they find online, but some are frustrated or confused."
